"Behold the war, child of the son,

To end all wars, thy will be done,

A last the trick to death begot,

the light returned, but not for naught.."

I notice as I travel down the river that I’m seeing less and less boats. The shorelines are a bit overgrown and there are odd noises coming from the woods at night. Ezra is with me on deck today, she's been down below for a few months… she’s not a fan of the water, I don’t think any of her kind are. There’s a certain ominous feeling in the air as I proceed down river to the falls… I think you have to cross some kind of crazy to reach the mad. There’s a strong part of me that wants to dive into the water and never come back up… at times it seems that would be so much easier, though I know that’s a false notion. I ride huge waves each day, morning to night. The sun, she brings a smile and a sense of hope and adventure as I chart an unknown course, feeding hummingbirds that frequent my deck… while the night brings a dark somber hopelessness that I often wonder about and curse. I hear stories of a phantom and dragonflies that rule the waterways, stargazer dreams and I wonder if I’ll ever see old comrades past the point of no return. And then there’s the rabbit, who’s been traveling along the shore with me… a strange beast large than 2 men, walking partially upright and grunting when it’s close. I sometimes think it might jump aboard and devour me like a carrot. I guess we’ll see what comes of the rabbit and his presence. I’ve realized that I wish great things for my friends and enemies a like, always, if only they could wish the same for me. If they did, perhaps I wouldn’t be on this amazing adventure alone. It’s odd, but I’m so grateful for such things. Failure on all levels is such a great tool to add to your magic belt of tricks. Shhhh… I should go, Ezra is growling, I think something is about to happen. Be well and stay your own course.

"Oh theres something in the darkness, in the corner of my room, nothing but his eyes I see, and the white from his grin and teeth."

A vocal is a lot like a sculpture.. at least that’s how I see it. A chorus is just a part of that sculpture, an important detail that needs focused attention. The lyric is the design. Sometimes five hours results in a masterpiece, and other times it’s merely scratching a vague shape in the block. On rare occasion a finished carving happens quickly and a master wax is cast perfectly and other times the design is slightly off and needs adjustment and revisions. I suppose you can relate that philosophy and concept to many things in life. A photograph or a painting or a Business. I’m fairly methodical when it comes to carving and that is the fun part of it for me. It also causes sleepless nights as puzzles lie unfinished at times while my mind painstakingly tries to solve the riddles in the dark. So is the tale of the “Dead Rabbit” but a puzzle and carving with a good design, yet in further revisions still which I hope yield a better piece of art in the long run. I haven't figured it out yet, but, I made some progress in the dark and cracked a few codes that had me stuck. True to life, They ain’t all dead rabbits, thank god, "Master of Illusion" was a design without revisions. Zabble agrees. I had a great night in the chamber... the walls are alive and talking to me. I'm so blessed and grateful for every day. Before I go... Worth noting, I approached a red light last night at midnight just outside the city of Bok and I saw a large rabbit in the woods on its hind legs staring at me.. I just cracked a smile at it and our eyes meet in an unspoken glare that was all I needed, I think I’m on the right path, it’s hard to tell sometimes. Thank you rabbit.

"There's a man who lives in the tower, looking down at the world below, what he see's is only magic, right or wrong, no one really knows."

I have returned to the "Rabbit". I must say it's quite the puzzle piece. Always has been. I've spun it for months prior without the key or code, though I've learned a new trick or two since I've been away from the mystery of it's placement. Off topic slightly, I came upon a town once where the buildings all looked as though they were suddenly left for some reason. Tables were still set, carriages stopped on dirt roads with doors open, shopping bags filled with dusty groceries that never made it home, books out and signs "Open". What is it that caused such a scene? "The Ballad of the Dead Rabbit" is a lot like that. It was a piece of music I was working on that was not quite finished, at least to me. But I vanished one day.. while walking down at Loktor creek... I saw a female Vernus dragonfly and it started telling me about it's day, I was mesmerized by it's beauty and intoxicated from the hum of it's wings... little did I know it was a spell. I was told about these creatures once by Zabble, he's done his best to prepare me for things. Lets just say the rabbit was a sleep a while till I finally arrived back from my hum drug. I know all to well about the trials and tribulations that come with perfectionism, my return to the rabbit is not really about that, it's simply about tying up loose ends. I hardly regret my inquisitive nature or my love for the countryside and characters that cross my path, though such fascinations do have me waking on distant hillsides wondering how I arrived there. My lord, what are you talking about Sir John? Plainly put, I spent the weekend with the Rabbit and hope to finish it proper. The gatherings are taking place now, the fire is burning. Should have news soon from the northern tower, the guard still sends messages into the sky that can be seen for miles. We are watching. I guess the Rabbit will rise from the dead after all. I so love dragonflies.
